Consulting, reviews & training

Sometimes the most valuable thing is not the extra developer but the week in which someone from outside says where the problem actually is.

When we are the right fit — and when we are not

Where we carry weight — and where we do not.

A fit when …

  • An architectural decision is due and you want an independent assessment.
  • The team should advance methodically — TDD, Clean Architecture, refactoring legacy code.
  • Agent-assisted development should be introduced without losing traceability.
  • A mature system needs assessing before you invest.

Not a fit when …

  • What is wanted is an opinion confirming a decision already taken.
  • This is general management consulting without technical depth.
  • The recommendations are expected to sit unread with no willingness to act.
  • ISO 27001 or TISAX certification support is the goal.

What we actually do

  • Architecture reviews — assessment of an existing or planned architecture with prioritised recommendations.
  • Code reviews — sampled or comprehensive, focused on maintainability, testability and the places where changes typically become expensive.
  • Training and workshops — Clean Code, SOLID, design patterns, Clean Architecture, refactoring legacy code, test methodology, agile transition and the productive use of AI-assisted development tools.
  • AI enablement — introducing agent-assisted development into existing teams and toolchains, including safeguards through quality gates.
  • Technical project leadership — taking technical lead in modernisation or transition programmes.

Grounded in practice

The training does not come from slide decks but from live projects. Architecture modernisation, agile transition and developer training were delivered among others around a vehicle bus analysis platform for a German premium car manufacturer.

Approach & collaboration models

Reviews are deliberately short and produce a written result. Training is tailored to your team, remote or on site. Both also work as an entry point before a larger engagement.

Typical project size

What a project costs with us.

Day rate €480–960 depending on the type of engagement

Reviews and training are deliberately short — the 10 person-day minimum does not apply here.

Frequently asked questions

How does an architecture review work?

Review of code, documentation and build chain, conversations with the team, then a written assessment with prioritised recommendations. Scope is typically a few days — deliberately short, so the recommendations are still current when they land.

Who is the training for?

Development teams, not beginners. The formats are tailored and have been delivered among others for development teams at major industrial clients, in the context of architecture modernisation and agile transition.

Do you also train on AI tooling?

Yes, specifically on productive use inside quality gates: what an agent may and may not do, what the safeguards in the pipeline look like, which data protection and compliance questions to settle before first use.
